Our LARA Administrator, Nady Maechling is retiring from the City of Los Angeles. It was our pleasure to honor her at our 1st Quarter Meeting on March 15, 2018 for her many years of service and dedication to LARA. Nady worked alongside our Executive Director, Karen Coca, to help form the Los Angeles Regional Agency starting in 2002.
Her fierce leadership and commitment to waste reduction has contributed tremendously to the success of the regional agency over the years. She has been such a valuable asset to LARA and LASAN, and she has been such a joy to work with, so full of life and conviction. While she will be missed by everyone, we are confident that she will find the same success and happiness in retirement that she experienced during her tenure with LARA and LASAN. We hope to continue honoring her by striving to follow her stellar example.
Retirement will surely offer you many new opportunities, which we know you will embrace wholeheartedly, just as you do with anything that comes your way. We wish you the very best in your future endeavors, Nady, and with utmost appreciation, we thank you for your 16 years of service to LARA.
