LADWP’s Water Conservation Plans — State Water Waste Fines

Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP)  and the state of California have implemented new ordinances.

Los Angeles Watering Days Schedule

LADWP has asked all citizens of Los Angeles to water according to the new “Watering Days” Schedule. Those who have an address that ends in an odd number water on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Those who have an address the ends with and even number water on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. All watering must take place before 9:00am or after 4:00pm that day. No watering is permitted on Saturday. Click here for a PDF

The State of California has approved measures to increase penalties for reported water wasters. Fines begin at $100 and can amount to $500 each day a violation exists. Daily News has created a column explaining these changes, click here for the article
