Not many “April Showers” – Can there be “May Flowers”?

Plumeria

“April Showers…May Flowers”; a  common adage said among people. But can that be said in drought-ridden California? A report that was released last week announced that approximately 12 million forest trees have been killed in the past year due to conditions brought about by the drought (you can find the article HERE). If trees are struggling to thrive, the chance of a flower surviving seems slim.

The great news is that there is an easy way to have “May Flowers” even without “April Showers”. There are several varieties of flowers that are drought-friendly. Better Homes and Gardens Magazine has compiled a few of those flowers on their website. You can find the article HERE.

Let’s get planting!
