Take a walk with LADWP

LADWP is taking reservations for guided tours of the Silver Lake Reservoir. Silver Lake Reservoir was named in 1906 after Water Board Commissioner Herman Silver. Silver Lake is technically identifies the larger portion of the reservoir. The smaller portion is called “Ivanhoe”, the name of a novel written by Sir Walter Scott.  The reservoir can hold up to 795,000,000 gallons of water.   This “Reservoir Walk” is set to begin Saturday, September 6th at 9:00am until 11:00am.
